I cant see how Dougie and Roy are going 'think Paddy is up to the task' based upon him doing a year in a number 2 role. You might as well give the job to Freedman. At least we know he has been a no.1 and can do the job. And before anyone says anything, I absolutely do NOT want Freedman anywhere near Palace's dug out either!
What is Palace fans obsession with ex players? It makes no sense. There are loads of promising young managers out there with more experience than Paddy that would on paper at least do a better job if 'young upcoming coach' is the route Parish wants to go down. I'd suspect as a businessman that doesn't like risk then NOT.

As for mentioning Freedman, I dont really know why that point is interesting. I may be wrong but I getting the feeling you think Freedman was a success. I certainly dont think he was. His final two jobs proved he is definitely not up to management yet even now there are still Palace fans with that romantic ex player adoration that would still like to see him get the job.
