This was obvious and in order to mitigate it we needed wide cover. We needed it even when we had Wilf. Ayew's injured too so our entire wide play is reliant on Schlupp or players Roy won't use. Good planning. Yes, reminds me of Roy's first season when we only had 1 'striker' in Benteke and a week after the transfer window closed he got injured. As you say we are just ignoring the learnings.

great news. Hamstrings are always a difficult injury - you never know if they are 100% healed until you test them. It appears Palace were being careful with his progress so any set back is, hopefully, only minor.

Ahamada injured now as well. We desperately need Olise back and Franca proving he deserves a place in the first 11.

Didn't Olise have a grade 1 tear, which is the worse type I believe. Players have to be really careful with hamstring injuries as they can easily go again. Michael Owen has never same player after he started getting hamstring injuries. So best to give Olise enough time as possible.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Didn't Olise, do his hamstring, the last time but one with the French U21's?
