Hopefully this nonsense won’t be given the time of day for the next transfer window. 2,399 responses so far so I thought I'd add another to make it a rounder number. The boss here believes in freedom of speech so it's quite likely that in January another thread will be allowed but hopefully next time it won't be in here but in the correct forum for incoming transfer talk

I know that this thread was separate because Dazza can be divisive but I don't think keeping it it separate worked very well. Those of us interested in our transfer dealings or lack of found themselves chasing multiple threads and having the same conversations over those threads, rather annoying. Dazza will always be divisive and is entitled to his opinion he doesn't actually post that much so I would prefer in January if we just have one January Transfer thread and we can argue over whatever.

Well, he certainly jumped when the Ultras said how high didn't he. That was rather a difficult conundrum for him. It was a no win really.

Presumably you refused to cheer the former's two assists and the latter's two goals today then. What a stupid statement. I was delighted to see some unusual quality in the box from our two strikers and hope it continues. That doesn't mean that we don't need more quality up front. Perhaps Franca will provide some goals...If he ever gets off the treatment table. He and Ferguson must be good pals by now.

Well said, PB. It was all so predictable. Dazza's BS as usual/get rumbled/flounce. I am quite surprised no one has suggested Dazza might be a troll. He sets Palace fans at each others’ throats and raises expectations that can never be met leading to complaints about the club’s failure to get deals (that never existed) ‘over the line’. I am not suggesting he is a troll but these would be very satisfying outcomes if he was.

I'm quite surprised at the reaction Dazza's posts get. Take them for what they are: someone passing on information. Don;t really care about the source. If the worst he's doing is copying from newsnow, then it saves me the time! if he has some insider knowledge, then its obviously from a non-exclusive source. what they do do, is keep a debate going while there is no football being played to debate about!

This. If you don't like what Dazza posts, just ignore it. For me it saves trawling around the interwebs to find the latest gossip

But that's not the case as I look at News Now and nowhere does any of their sites claim that "Signing XXX was a done deal" or similar garbage. Also whilst he may "keep the debate going whilst there is no football" the debate seems to be about him and not about signings. As Badger11 has already said allowing dazza to have his own thread (in the wrong forum) means that people are discussing transfers in his thread and also in the correct place in Transfer Talk. It's quite irrelevant but dazza is treated as a joke on the BBS and people read his punditry just to know what we aren't doing

I have the impression that he is a purposeful smoke and mirrors merchant, possibly given the ok by the club. The Frank Lampard one did make me chuckle...

The Ultras got their way and one can't help but imagine that Parish wanted them to have a more central position in the stand. In terms of match day support, I rather agree with that decision, but there were obviously unfortunate consequences for other fans who became victims of it. I sympathize with them, but the clubs aims will always trump the feelings of a few supporters. That's show business.

I read what Dazza posts but take it all with a pinch of salt. I get to hear snippets of news from a few different clubs, but I wouldn't share them because things can change very quickly and you can end up looking stupid...
