It seems that my fantasy football team is the kiss of death for teams and players. So next season I will take one for the team and select 3 scum players!

By my reckoning, they've lost 3 out of the last 6 or 7 or so, shipping goals in the process (Newcastle, Forest & Leicester). Is it just an average balancing out, or are they tired, complacent, stressed etc? Next season, they'll likely have European games to deal with. The fans will have some amazing adventures, but history tells us that balancing the two competitions is tough for clubs like Middlesbrough, Fulham, West Ham. Hopefully they'll lose the two central midfielders. Might turn a bit s***.

My take on Brighton are they are actually quite a good team but they don't do well playing 2 games in a week and usually one of the games they will underperform. They are probably the best EPL team and discovering new talent. Each season i keep thinking they will implode as they sell what i think are "key" players but they keep getting better ones in for a lot less money. I remember a good few years ago we were linked with Dunk (who sort of flies under the radar a bit) but he has been a main stay of their team yet no one ever seems to want to buy him. Bissouma and Cucurella were great for them in the previous season and have done nothing this year following big money moves. I think left back is an area we need to strengthen and i like Estupinan but he will be under contract and won't be up for sale.

If the press are to be believed they are also likely to lose both Mac Allister and Caicedo. I know they will get a lot of money in, but recruitment is never easy and identifying replacements that can come in and perform straight away will be v tricky. Selling clubs will also know they have loads in the bank and make it hard for them to get good deals I suspect next season will be a difficult one for them

Say what you want but they're probably about the best run prem club, better to have a team full of players that everyone wants to buy and having to replace them, than a squad of poor players. Great stadium, massive catchment area, well run club, great scouting system. Unfortunately like the rest of us, it's as good as it's gets for them due to the money in the game. Next season they are as likely as the rest of us when it comes to relegation.

Next season they are as likely as the rest of us when it comes to relegation. They are definitely very well run, and have a clear eye for succession. I did find Southampton going down quite funny, but it does worry me a bit. They were once of a similar ilk as Brighton in terms of their ability to re-sell and regenerate. For a mid-stature side, it makes sense, but I can't help feeling that there's a limit to how long you can re-grow your crucial limbs and remain as athletic as you were. Southampton made a complete mess of their strategy, and it unravelled very quickly. I think Brighton will be okay, but if they lose yet more key players, it's going to be hard to stay top 7. Rivalry aside, it's kind of s*** that smaller clubs eventually get dicked on. Mid tier clubs are never the destination, they're merely the ride for the journey. Have we a shortlist to replace Eze, Guehi and Olise? Parish has had an uncanny knack of getting away with errors and gambles. Other clubs make mistakes and plummet, or they do really well, lose all their assets, and plummet.
