Flew from Luton once parked in the airport parking where they keep your keys, quarter of a tank of petrol evaporated from my tank whilst I was away and found some of the airport staff a bit cocky and rude so don't have any found memories of Luton, also remember they played millwall in the 80s and were involved in some really bad violence and vandalism so I personally hope they don't make the premier league.

Erm I think you’ll find Luton the town and club were innocent victims in that, as I said earlier I was there and it was all millwall hell bent on carnage

Did anyone else, like me, manage to weedle their way into Luton v Palace when Luton famously made all their games "members only"? One of my Palace-supporting mates moved to Buckinghamshire and somehow got away with his application to become a Luton member. I think he may even have bought a ticket for a game or two earlier in the season, so as to appear more authentic. Then, come the glorious day, he bought tickets for me, him and two other mates. Despite sitting in a home stand (well, they were ALL home stands!), we did the full "go potty" when Palace scored. All we got were filthy looks from those around us, but no stewards came to have a word or to eject us. All a bit bizarre, it was.

I went to the first game which was called off due to snow or a frozen pitch I think at the last minute. Mon or Tuesday night. Then it was rearranged for I think the Thursday. About 3 k crowd and the original programme was sold with an A4 folded sheet inside to accompany the programme. All I remember was i was f***ing freezing cold from my head to my toes and even a goal didn’t warm me up.

You've triggered a distant vague memory about a postponed and hastily rearranged match at some point, however according to this website's database - and other internet sources - the Luton ZDS tie was played on Tuesday 26 February 1991. On eBay I found the Luton programme AND A4 teamsheet for sale, and BOTH carried the date Tuesday 26 February. Odd.

They had a growing rep in the hooligan world and had been giving rival 'firms' a run for their money for a few years . Millwall as ever were up for the challange and basically were not going to let a trivial thing like the pitch get in the way of having a tear up .
