Think Parish and Hodgson will have a long conversation about this, making no hasty solution. About the transfers during summer, do we really need that many new players?
For sure a right back and a striker, but we have some younger players to step up. Look at Man City. They play more or less the same 15-16 players in every game, have 3 youngsters to fill up the bench...think we should copy that. Like left-back Adamola, Rak-Suki and that big kid Ozuh.
Should have a pretty decent team to face nest season then - with or without Zaha.

Clearly we have a top experienced team at both managerial and team levels.

I’m coming around to Roy staying on next year.
This is not a knee jerk reaction to a few good results and performances, but based on solid evidence.
As far as I can see the only reason not to extend his stay is his age.
However, this in itself is not an issue in isolation with his robust health and unbridled enthusiasm for the game.
Football is like breathing to him and I’ve heard or observed nothing from him to suggest that he wouldn’t accept another year.
In some ways it’s a no brainier for the club too.
The club want to remain in the Premier League first and foremost and retain some form of continuity with a settled staff and there’s nothing to suggest that this wouldn’t be achievable with Roy, Ray and Paddy at the helm.
I’m also at cognisant that we’re nearly in May , not far from pre season planning and decisions on players etc.
To bring in a new manager brings in the uncertainty of upheaval with him wanting his own staff and players potentially unsettling the chemistry that is successful at present and looks like it could be in the future.
Some will say keeping Roy is only postponing the inevitable as he will have to go at some point, but is that in itself sufficient reason to make a change in the summer?

4 more years , 4 more years , 4 more years

If he keeps us up and shows us he can continue to do so until he is 95 , why not another 20 yrs? Continued premier league survival is the goal, i don't much care who is the manager as long as we and they can continue the Glorious run of this last decade and a bit. I'll still support us if we go down, but why bother with getting relegated if you don't have to so bother.
