Typical! Shortly before they play us and benefit from the new manager bounce', or rather the new, new manager bounce'!

He didn't last long.

They should appoint Diane Abbott.

They need an interim boss to replace… the interim boss.

Mi life’s events have taken me from being surrounded by Millwall fans in my youth (not too shocking in lewisham) to being surrounded by spurs fans (father in law, close friends, sister in laws family) and I therefore have insight into what is a genuinely grim football fan experience.

They seem forever on the periphery of being a ‘big club’ without ever being able to make the final step. A few Champions League appearances, one final, a few cup finals and a league cup in the past quarter century. I genuinely feel sorry for them sometimes but allow myself to giggle quietly at their constant ‘close but no cigar’ state.

It almost as though nothing will work for them beyond a change in ownership.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

For a club that refer to themselves as "yids", that'd be a barrel of laughs...

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

I dont think it matters who the manager is when the players down tools which appears to have happened here .

Maybe with Chelsea sniffing around Pochichino ((I haven't got a clue how you spell it)they are getting their bid in early .

There is clearly something very wrong at the top of this club and Conte has been vindicated in walking away

No doubt he will try to find a club where he isn't going to be regarded as a puppet for the owners.

Reminds me of the old 'chestnut':

"Please send a breakdown truck, because the breakdown truck sent to pick up the broken-down breakdown truck has broken down."

My sister married a Spurs fan, and her children are Spurs fans, so I know how you feel. It's galling that despite their continual underperformance relative to their wealth and status, they generally turn us over with relative ease; last season at Selhurst being an obvious exception.

Imagine never getting a title race nor the white-knuckle ride of a relegation dogfight.

Spurs are the new Everton.
