Strikers:

Joel pule and Oscar Estupinan

while championship ,they have been scoring more goals than our current lot , and have about double our non penalty expected goals per 90 min. ( probably a good swap for mateta and jairo riedewald who cost us combined i think about £100k a week in wages)
and i suspect this would cost us less than £10m a piece, maybe 15m combined.

Defensive situation.

Tomkins is not good enough and aging, Luka is a rare sub and very aged , Mcarthur doesn't play( hughes being the better option imo), Ferguson might be done with his injury.

might i suggest Alfie jones and Amadou Salif Mbengue , both youngish, both notionally defenders , but with some experience as DMC's, and as both are in the championship , probably not too expensive.

Clyne is second fiddle to Ward. but in truth we need 2 defensive wingers, both for competition for places but also to be able to not be enfeebled by injuries to our squad.

Tbh i am not sure who we can get atm for that spot.
