You mean the Wilf who hasn't scored a goal since before the World Cup?

Good point but if he plays Wilf will at least force them on the defensive a bit more? I imagine in any case he'll be on the bench to begin with and then come on at 70 mins or so? We shouldn't underestimate him. He is after all in my opinion, our best ever player?

Our best ever player was Johnny Byrne, He was an England international while we we were in the third division, was transferred for the then British record fee and went on to win FA
and EUFA Cup winners medals, scored a hat trick for England away to Portugal and was Palace's leading goal scorer for Years until Ian Wright came along.

Imagine a forth /third tier outfit having a player of that quality now, admittedly most of his caps came with WH, but he was in the England set up for a while before going there for as you say an English record fee. Happy days following him to his under 21s appearances when played in London. The great Johnny Haines, Fulham, kind of got in his way for quiet a while.

This was always going to be a difficult game, Dyche, was always going to set up his team in a way that made it difficult to score further exacerbated by our lack of a decent striker. I am more than happy not to lose and therefore grateful for the point. our main problem continues to be that were are still far too slow in getting the ball forward, this allow the opposition to reform and get player behind the ball and until we improve this aspect of our game we are generally always going to struggle in the goal scoring department.
