A blatant handball in the build-up by Trent doo-flicker how can that be a Liverpool goal.

Another bad weekend for VAR, luckily we escaped it.

Presumably Leeds will get a “Brightonesq” apology?

The handball issue needs sorting.
It is inconsistent and I suspect that even the refs don't know how to play it.

After their 5-1 thrashing Bamford came out and said the dressing room wasn't too upset as they know it was a one off, oops.

I bet that has gone down well with the faithful.

Bamford also said he was a striker when he joined us, I'll forgive myself for not taking him at his word.

A 'two off'... perhaps?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Lol.

TBF to Bamford, he literally was correct, in that they haven't lost 1-5 again since their drubbing by the Eagles. On the other hand, what is his timescale for never losing 1-5 ever again?

I dont think VAR cold have intervened on this one? the handball did not directly result in the goal?

Not sure that's the only reason it would have made little difference. It was a stroll in the park for Liverpool.

Which ably demonstrates why VAR is ridiculous.

There's a programme on BT Sport called Ref Watch in which it's quite amusing to see the contortions Dermot Gallagher goes through to explain why in nearly every case the referee and/or VAR made the right decision. If he can't explain anything after Stephen Warnock points it out the conclusion is invariably "I can see why he thought that".
