I agree completely, but it's still disrespectful to his club at the time. More what I'm getting at is to highlight that we are just another step on Olise's path to bigger things - I think it's quite hard to give him any sort of moral high ground over Wilf when it comes to transfers and their relationship with our club, as the OP has done. We'll be the small team that Michael is describing to his latest social media interest when the time comes for his next move. I think it is inevitable that MO will move on, unless we start reaching Europe and Cup Finals soon! However he does appear to have a reasonable agent ( if there is such a thing) who seems to want what is best for Michael’s career. They appear to have been willing to negotiate the removal of the relatively low release clause and is not pushing for him to move atm

A big difference is their respective temperaments. As we all know Wilf can be hot headed, and this doesn't always serve him well. Michael, on the other hand, seems to have a very cool head on his shoulders.

We are still a good option for him at this stage of his development and we may be lucky enough to get another full season or two out of him, but he is destined for bigger things.

If he continues to improve his game, I think he will be seriously considered as a replacement for Mahrez

TBF to Wilf, a lot of his temperament issues have been caused by the rotational fouling of him, which many referees seem to have ignored. Having said that, he would never have been as laid back as Olise

Hello. Party Pooper here. I don't agree with comparing the two. They're just human beings, who occasionally do wrong, but certainly do more right, and don't deserve a debate to decide who's worthy of elevation above the other. We're very lucky to have them both.

Comparison is the thief of joy. We should be grateful to have 2 wide player of their calibre in our side!

Having said that, he would never have been as laid back as Olise I think we're beginning to see Michael fouled a fair bit now too Spider. There are certainly a couple of shirt pulls I recall to try and stop his runs as well as some desperate tackles. But, as I have noted on here before, the joyous aspect of his game is that he makes every effort to get up and continue rather than roll about and make a hysterical fuss. Wilf goes over a tad too easily IMO. A notable difference.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

What’s the difference? Simples....ATTITUDE ! Forget comparing ability, both are very talented, but you don’t see MO complain, moan, throw his hands up at team mates or ref, show anything like the negativity you see all too often from Wilf.
