So before Jan Textor Invested in another football club

Now we hear Blitzer & Harris invest 6 Bil into an NFL side or about to

What about bloody invest in what you have & build on it ?

Jesus Parish who have you brought to Palace as “ Investors”

It’s sad to see our own investors do not see future value in CPFC

Forever Palace Proud

What sort of investment are you thinking of?

We can't spend more than we make on players.

We already have a new training academy and a new stand on the horizon which has taken years to get through the red tape.

I'd be very keen for further stadium development, but beyond that, how can wealthy investors take us forward under the current ridiculous fair play rules?

They are clearly designed to protect the big clubs, and until they are scrapped, we will remain a modest team.
Even if they were scrapped, the bigger clubs would most often attract the better players for a long time to come.

To be fair, teams have been ignoring ffp and paying fines for years.

What's to stop one of the Yanks sponsoring the toilets in the Arthur for £25m a year. This is the kind of thing that goes on to inject money. Not saying it's right but doesn't take much ingenuity.

It is against the rules of FFP. You know the rules that only apply to us. There is one team (I forget which) that got into trouble for doing exactly that as the authorities need to be assured that the sponsorship is for reasonable value.

All I can remember is that the club was owned by an oil rich country. It could have been PSG but no doubt HOL's football encyclopedia will know the answer

The infrastructure of the club is for the longer term so it's right it should take the lion's share of investment available. It's also important to maintain what we have achieved i.e. PL status and keep our decent players but hopefully, Roy, Ray and Paddy will steer us safely through the next couple of months?

I believe that their purchase of some of the club enabled us to spend some money.

Therefore, I guess that the only way to generate more spending power in the sort term would be to for someone to buy other shares in the club.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The rules are flagrantly abused by the big clubs, knowing the penalties will be non existent, as they get lawyers to bog down the process.
If anyone believes that City paid just £60m for Haaland, their heads are in the sand. The selling club were doubtless paid more monies via shelter companies, making it hard to trace and avoids FFP.
