I know what you mean, but I'd just settle for a bit of magic. This season has been completely devoid of the sort of results that make you think: 'did we really do that?' e.g 0-2 at Citeh the last time. This season has been utterly without magic. This is what the last ten years has been about for me. The occasional turning over of the big boring plastic teams. Being a Palace fan has given us proper voice when their boring fans get going. Most football fans I know are very nice but they hold back from taking the piss because they know I can rinse them for having watched their team at their home ground more than they have. Long may it continue.

One of my favourite anecdotes for the ubiquitous United fan in London and the SE was not only have I actually been to Old Trafford (unlike them) but I’ve seen a world class, once in a lifetime goal scored there too! Granted it was pre this PL run however I’ve honoured it in my signature below the comment box Not seen many in PL era but CYL away at Stoke sticks out. I nearly killed the small child next to me jumping out of my seat but that was ans unexpected as it was delicious!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

The next level for Palace for me would be a full squad of senior players with a blend of youth and experience with cover for every position. It’s not a lot to ask for after 10 years to be honest. Once you have that, the odd improvement here and there becomes an easier task to achieve.
