Granted we lost 4-1, but they're on course for the title. Was pleased to see us with more possession, more shots, and an attacking front 3!

If we lineup the same against lesser teams we'll compete much better than we have....

Hopkin looks to curl one!

Plus we'll have Lokonga back and hopefully Anderson soon. Wilf looked like he's coming back into form after his injury. Hopefully we'll have enough to survive the drop.

Looking back at the game, I felt we looked better and a bit sharper. Add to that, a rookie keeper in goal, Tomkins thrown in for Andersen, Ward for reasons I don't know for Clyne, the same goes for Luka (Hughes/Ahamada). And why take off Olise for Ayew when we need to score is beyond my understanding.
We could (know that is a lame excuse) have been both 1 and 2 up, their goals due both to good play and switch-off from our players. Zaha for 0-1 & 0-2, how come Jesus not offside for the 4th when we actually had a go?
All in all, 1-4 sounds bad, but after all, a good effort and I don't mind Paddy & Co running the show till the end of season.

I agree - we weren't as bad as many Palace fans are saying, we had a go and just have to accept they are at the top of the table for a reason ! Olise wasn't cutting it yesterday because when he comes up against better players. I am not throwing the towel in yet, we have it in our hands....

We all appreciate it’s tough at the moment sometimes it’s hard to take. But we are not cut adrift at the bottom, getting hammered every week. We now have two weeks to regroup PV is history, let’s move forward with a positive mindset,

It’s all about Leicester now and putting the hard yards in for 3 points. We the fans at the Leicester game need to be vocal, the team need to show some spirt and get those points.

Kinda agree that we had a go yesterday and it wasn’t as bad as others have said. I do think under PV we would probably have lost that 1 or 2:0 but had no shots on target. It also didn’t help that because Lakonga couldn’t play and that Ward, Tompkins and Luka did that we were up against it whoever was manager. Sadly our main man Zaha made a couple of mistakes giving them 1 perhaps 2 goals and of course with the match over the 4th was mysteriously given by VAR when I’m sure had that been us it would have been disallowed? As you, I was also disappointed with Olise and as much as we may moan about Ward starting he gave no help to him whatsoever. I would say most of this season he has been a weak link when starting for us?

I heard somebody who has contacts with the club saying that Ward was chosen as Paddy looked back on games we had win this season and that Ward had featured in these games.
Also, that Paddy had gone for experience which was why Tompkins came in instead of Richards.
Arsenal have been devastating all season down the flanks, so the reality is that we would likely have struggled whoever we selected at full back.

With regard to better attacking I noted that Schlupp played 3 penetrating forward passes that could have led to goals as well as scoring himself and that Zaha had two shots saved and one that flashed across the goal which Olise was not that far away from turning in.

Looking forward I have two concerns.
How will we react if we fall behind in a game?
How will we react if we continue to miss chances?

If Roy does come in I imagine he’ll set us up to stay in games so there could be lots of 0-0s at half times.
At some point we’ll have to be braver though to achieve the necessary wins.

That was my overriding feelings. New manager, same baffling decisions.

Paddy said after the game he cant fault the commitment!!

Zaha lost the ball on quite a few occasions and just stood there after or strolled back. He did that when Saka scored and quite a few times Ben White just ran past him and started an attack.

Zaha played well going forward but we need a manager who will drill into him on a daily basis that he needs to do more off the ball. Strolling back and not running to win the ball back is unacceptable.

Given the position we are in, I thought Zaha's attitude was pretty disgraceful. First 2 goals were largely down to him, and as you said Ben White strolled past him a number of times.

He's a fighter, but only for himself (not getting the fouls he thinks he deserves) but not for the team.
