Having Wilf back will make a huge difference. He was inches from being onside for a well taken goal against Villa and got a really good shot away from nothing at one point as well. Also, he gives something for Andersen to aim for which we will no doubt see repeatedly on Saturday (successful or not). Another big factor is he wins free-kicks in great positions and defenders hate tackling him in the box. These days he often disappears in games against the big 6, but he's always up Brighton and he'll be crucial in the last 10 games.

If given the opportunity I think Hughes could also fill the Gallagher role as he's a scrapper and will put pressure on players. He may not have the finishing ability of CG, or the technical ability of Olise or Eze, but I think he could still create chances. He certainly wouldn't be short of effort anyway.

I think also watching the defending by the likes of Southampton, Leicester and West Ham of late we will get far more chances once this difficult run is over.

BTW Paul Warhurst has to be the greatest conversion of a defender to a striker. Short on strikers Sheff Wednesday converted him from centre-back to a striker and he duly scored 12 in 12 games and got called up for England as a striker! Did he play in midfield or defence for us, I can't remember?

Need to play the wide men on the right wings, and cross the ball.

At present no striker on earth would score in our team.

If Zaha and Olise were cutting in and scoring loads I'd be ok with it, but it happens ones in a blue moon. Time to stick 20 crosses in and see if JPM can get on the end of something

We've lost the two games he's been back. He is not the answer, never was, certainly not as centre forward. Looks disinterested and relegation will be a sorry end to a decent career at the club.
