Wise words Willo. I would be amazed and disappointed if he turned up at Selhurst He could be better than Yaya Toure. Which wouldn't be that difficult.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

I am certainly not expecting Giroud to be wearing our colours next season. Most of us aren't expecting him to be signed but we tend to agree that he would be a good short term addition to our misfiring strikers

Giroud has said after the game last night that he wants to stay with AC Milan.

It's not inevitable that Giroud would be a success in the PL. Arsenal moved him on because he was too slow from the PL and at 36 he'd be a lot slower. Having Giroud would prevent younger players coming through and I hope Palace won't in desperation go for a short term possible remedy. It would go against buying in or developing promising young players? Zaha will be here at least to the end of the season. I think we should stay with the policy we've got. Do we have a 10 goal a season PL striker sitting in our academy? We have JKG who has 2 in 10 in League 2, Rak-Sakyi who has 9 in 31 from the wing in League 1. We hear this argument about blocking pathways all the time, but I can't think of a single academy player who had their pathway blocked by Palace who has gone on to do anything of note in the past 20 years. Lewis Grabban is maybe the best example and he spent 7 years at L1/L2 level after leaving us before playing Championship football.
