Someone may have posted these links a while ago, so apologies if I am repeating something without realising.

These are very interesting, at least for me. My first decade or so supporting Palace coincided with the second half of Noades ownership. I was too young at the time to really challenge (what I now consider the unreasonable and unrealistic) criticisms of Noades that seemed to form the backdrop.

The stuff about his (non) relationship with Jordan is now of little relevance, other than perhaps to illustrate how fortunate and critical it was that the situation was resolved in the end. The stuff about McAlpine proposing a stadium at Gatwick is new to me, as is the fact he rebuilt the holmesdale only after hitting a dead end with the national sports centre.

Mostly though it's a bit of a time capsule from the last period when a businessman could buy a club, roll his sleeves up and do something with it himself.

Thanks for listing - hadn’t seen that before was interesting
Mark Goldberg really went in eyes wide shut
Simon Jordan also

Who’s to really know what Palace would be like if FA only banned Liverpool & allowed us into Europe

Like always the Press - Murdoch mob just wanted to knock Ron any which way that was possible

Forever Palace Proud
