We've just thrashed New Zealand and are playing like we never have before, and at the end of the news we get a five minute article on the women's semi final v W Indies and ONE ball, sorry mods I'm using caps again, ONE F*CKING BALL, of the mens' sensational victory. Good luck to the ladies and all that, but the way popularity for women's sport is getting positive discrimination is so irritating, even all the funky music and slick vids to make it look as big as the mens' game - encourage it yes, but this a common sense liberal complaining about the woke agenda. They were called the loony left in my day, and they damage the cause they are trying to support usually.

I agree. The other day Sky had 3 channels simultaneously showing women's football, cricket and netball. Nothing against women's sport but Sky could put it on a dedicated channel rather than expect people to pay for something they have no intention of watching.

You might as well say that a pub singer should be paid the same as Taylor Swift.

Talent and hard work has nothing to do with pay in the world of sport* and entertainment.

It is simply about bums on seats, if the public loved Bonzo, the tennis playing chimpanzee, they would pay him as many bananas as he wanted.

* AT Real Madrid Beckham was the highest paid player in the world yet rarely was he in the best 10 lists. Brand Beckham made a fortune for Real hence his salary.

Sorry but I'm a bit confused by this post. The men didn't beat New Zealand today and the women didn't play West Indies today.
