To show the percentage of people in Norfolk who are inter-bred, the chart would have to be in landscape orientation.

Sterling, your chart reminds me of both the Faroe Islands and Croydon high street.

i heard some lefties on the Radio in Ireland. Going nuts about the Glastonbury line-up being all pale, male, and stale.

its amazing how the lefties all seem to coordinate their outrage.

Lefties would never make this joke about Bradford and Luton of course.....somewhere a cousin is rarely under utilized.

As for Norfolk, my webbed feet are highly offended.

From the acts so far announced at least 20 don't fit any of those criteria.

Its so ridiculous to act like every single part of life/event needs to be diverse. Like they look at the headliners this year, and say 'see, nothing has changed'.

2 of the 4 headliners were black last year. Stormzy headlines the year before.

---

Also have just read and interview with Emily Eavis talking about her desire for racial and sexual diversity. So far, 52% of the announced artists are black. And Guns N’ Roses were only booked because a female headliner pulled out.

We can debate the merits of trying to get to 50/50 splits, but it sounds like she is genuinely going above and beyond.

At what point does this drive for equality impact quality? (she admitted that she really wants female headliners, but there just aren't many/any around).

Yep Mepletree, I know it might be the norm in Croydon and some other places, but not in the Country as a whole.

Late to this.

On awards, when I hear that a person is award winning these days it must mean they are of colour. It devalues the award if they are given for political reasons rather than merit. Most importantly, if this is perceived. Put yourself in the shoes of the winner. They may well be the best but their award will always be questioned.

And on ads I am torn. I feel insulted by what I see as social engineering by sledge hammer. On the other hand, the "majority " still drive through black areas terrified they may break down with negligible actual risk. I wonder whether this could be lessened if black people are "normalized" and seen in the context of young families trying out sofas, women comfortable and having fun in their descreet sanitary wear etc.

It makes me wonder if there are any black actors out of work. If I were a person of colour, I'd sign up to a modelling/acting agency. Kind of an extension of your first point.
