Not worth producing a medal for this merchant although he's probably still expecting one.

Only a bunch of MPs could come up with such a gratuitously objectionable idea.

A medal for failing in your job? Next thing, we'll see football managers being paid millions to leave after a string of losses.

Now I am certain the world has gone absolutely barmy.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I've lost several jobs and walked out on plenty of others - presumably I'm due several medals and a mention in despatches. A whole chest full.

If there is a pier I am all in favour of that and then encourage the public to push them off.

No problem with this at all so long as what they get is rare but cheap like a Blue Peter badge or Blankety Blank cheque book and pen. Perhaps a plastic bust of Keith Vaz?

The bbc still has a big cupboard full of unused 'Jim'll Fix It' badges . . . Allegedly.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

MP's would be unemployable after their tenure, because a) they quit/stood down, or b) were unelected because they failed in their job.
If former MP's would want any money, i would send them to the Job Centre for a "fitness for work" assessment. If they were unfit for work, they would be on sickpay. If they were fit for work and turned jobs down, they would have their benefits cut.

Or is that only for working class people ?

I disengage, I turn the page.
