Good actress and quite sexy is that English rose way in Ice Cold in Alex. If you've never seen it a good movie.

She refused to go to Hollywood.

RIP

Great eye-candy in Ice Cold In Alex. Not wanting to travel, badly impacted her career, and who can blame her, after having to push that bloomin' great truck across the desert ?

I loved that film when I first saw it, but I've yet to meet anyone else who remembers seeing it. A classic British comedy, almost up there with 'Laughter in Paradise' (NB the b/w original with Alistair Sim, Joyce Grenfell, George Cole, John Laurie etc, with a young Audrey Hepburn as 'cigarette girl' in a nightclub. NOT the later, pointless, colour remake).

Ahh yes when the old boy snuffs it after setting light to his nurse's newspaper. Talking of Alistair Sim, probably prefer him in School for Scoundrels or The Green Man..........
