It will be interesting to see how Pat attempts to solve it. If it was me, my first try would be to rebalance the team with him in it. Wilf, Olise, Eze, Ayew, Schupp are all attacking by nature. I think we need to lose 1 for a more balanced/defensive player. Personally I'd start with Ayew. Putting Wilf up top, Olise right, Eze left and bring in Hughes. Depending on how that goes, I'd then move Wilf back left, Eze at no10, and swap Schupp for a CF.

We seriously need to strengthen and do so quickly. We have played both Tottenham and Chelsea who are not at the races and if we are honest we are not good enough and being easily found out. Going to be a long long winter if the club won’t unload some dead wood and bring in some decent players. Ayew must be dropped. He couldn’t pass water again yesterday but it’s not only his fault.

look kepa made 5 good saves you cant put that down to poor finishing if guaita had made them everyone would be saying how great he is . spurs game was poor defending by all from 50 mins should have been 2 up at half time , every team below or near us are all complaining about there team so dont think Palace is a special case , yes we need to trust our strikers ayew shouldnt be starting we have Wilf olise and eze so we have a supply so put Ed or Mat in strikers position which we signed them for, Man city do that with Haaland im not saying they are near his class given the supply he has had no surprise he scores for fun , and im sure our 2 would be scoring with citys supply chain , we need a Connor type player to help Doucoure in midfield that would make a big difference , still need a right back , time is not on joel or nathens side , and for me Guiata needs tobe dropped great at shoots crap at crosses that puts defenders under pressure if you have a keeper that flaps at crosses , for me Midfield and left back need coming in before striker 1st in this market , and if people think we are going down get your money on was 25s but dont tell anyone you backed against the Palace Edited by mtp1958 (16 Jan 2023 12.39pm)

It looks like things are getting worse, according to a French source picked up by Sports Witness, Textor wants to take Olise to Lyon. No doubt he won’t want to pay anything either probably as we can share players amongst his teams! Having said that if he is willing to send his best central midfielder and right back the other way then maybe we should consider it.

Funny enough they have a couple of French U21's in a right back and defensive mid .

Would only make relegation from the EPL more likely which would hit Textor hard. Lyon are safely mid table but hardly challenging for a European spot
