It seemed to me the idea of Richards starting at right-back was so that when we had the ball it became a back three with TM playing further forward. Against a better team than Sheffield Utd we could have conceded more, but it did help us to overwhelm them at times and pin them in which helped in us scoring three. Personally I think a lot is asked of Mitchell as often he doesn't get a lot of support and is left exposed. He needs to improve his attacking play if he is going to contribute going forward though.

Yep I did wonder if Ayew's own limitations going forward meant that Mitchell has been told to get up the pitch to support. The problem is that I don't reckon Mitchell is brilliant attacking himself and it just leaves us massively exposed at the back as last night showed.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

I thought it reflective of an incoherent game plan if I'm honest but despite this, I thought Tyrick had a good game yesterday must say.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
