TV Choice magazine just a little bit out of date (ie 52 years)!

They're staunch traditionalists.

You know you're having a bad day when...

You are Mbappe you have just scored a hat trick in the final but still end up on the losing side.

And as you trudge miserably around the pitch who pops up beside you but a publicity seeking President Macron.

I'm surprised he didn't launch haymaker.

If only England's talisman had been able to tuck two penalties away in one match......

We too could have lost a penalty shoot-out.

I would not have allowed Kane to take either simply because it was against his own club goalkeeper who probably has a better idea of Kane's penalties than anyone.

I certainly would not have let him take the 2nd one I think he missed because he over thought it.

He was luckier than Messi who had to contend with some publicity hungry no-mark cook.

True but when you've just won the world cup you probably don't care.

The psychology of it all is very interesting. Kane presumably has a better idea than anyone of his club goalkeeper's approach to facing penalties, so - you might think - he is the ideal person to be taking a penalty against him.

Indeed, bluff, double bluff, counter bluff, counter double bluff, double counter bluff, then just doing what you were going to do in the first place as a sort of bluff, it gets very involved and can tie you up in knots so it can

I was thinking about the England team and this sums up a problem that hasn't been spoken about. Too many players scooped up by Man City and then not playing.https://www.football365.com/news/opinion-kalvin-phillips-no-fight-losing-battle-rodri-man-city
Grealish, Phillips, Foden - all would be miles better if playing every week. Perhaps add in Rashford at Man U - who has started to mainly play now. These players should think of their playing careers rather than their pockets when transferring to big clubs. How many young players have Chelsea simply bought and done nothing with too? A long list is my guess.

I certainly wouldn't do that.
