It's that bloody orange man again.

Even Trump wouldn't be so petty.

Imagine if he bought the club!

What changes would he insist on?

A wall along the M25 to stop Brighton fans visiting?

Playing in Wolves shirts?

Nah he'd just insist on being the club mascot, sorry Pete and Alice you're out of a job.

Whoever is operating VAR would get a hard time.

All those posts have gone, to be replaced by the one above.

Does anyone have any idea what is happening, and why?

I remember reading the other posts but have a sneaking suspicion that they may well have been in a different thread as it's not uncommon for themes to cross the great divide

You answered my mistaken claim about Caxton with different remarks which included the suggestion I wouldn't be able to admit it unless I did so through gritted teeth. I did correct it, and said my memory ought not have slipped as I had spent time in Heidelberg, where Gutenberg developed the modern mechanical press, which was improved by Caxton, but that the idea had originated in China.

I think you may be referring to the ones at 9.14am yesterday on the CONservative government incompetence thread.....

My apologies, yes it was. In my defence I was in a rush this morning and there had been a lot of activity in that thread since then, and Caxton had been introduced there out of context, so I missed it. My mistake though.

In a rush, year right; polishing the bowls

That's for tomorrow. I play outside every Sunday morning during the winter, one of the many benefits of the mild Cornish climate.

I see Bill Barr has said he also thinks that the D o J already have sufficient evidence to indict Trump over him taking away unauthorised documents, and that this is a serious offence.

So appointing a special prosecutor can only be to try to ensure that as few people as possible believe there is any political motivation when the charges are laid.

The downside is the delay, which Trump will surely exploit. I think that's why he has declared his run. He must know he has little or no chance but if he can string things out until the next POTUS takes over, and it's a Republican, he will be hoping they dismiss the prosecutor and give him a pardon.

I recognise that's just speculation but it does seem the most probable explanation of what lies behind this week's events.
