The anti abortion laws the republicans bought in have affected a lot of voters.
Many would rather abstain or vote democrat rather than give their last bastion of free choice away; which imo is how these laws are perceived and rightly so.

The court literally gave the decision back to individual states on abortion.....they didn't make anti abortion laws.

The arguments used for abortion in the original Roe v Wade case were incredibly weak when looked at......they tried to claim that the constitution was somehow allowing for abortion when it was one hell of a stretch.

The Democrats lie and lie and now you think that the Republicans passed a law.

Looks like the Democrats will keep the senate, not a bad night's results considering the forecast, go joe !

So as we at cpnews predicted, the Democrats have retained the senate, and the republicans narrowly the house- this has been a great mid term elections for Joe, the predictions were wrong again- the don will be lucky to run again, but forget him- congratulations mr president- you pulled it out of the bag-again! cpnews.co.uk

What a shocker....WE wants Trump to run after all.

But only because of his fantasy of Republicans being centralists.

He doesn't understand that the genie is way out of the bottle and the GOP boomers were the centralists.....just like the progressives took over the Democrat party, America first is inevitable in the Republican.

I don't think, and certainly don't hope, either of those assertions are true. Whilst the red-neck right might have been more visible and noisy in recent years they have always existed, and the more reasonable pushed into the background, that seems to be changing. The Republicans have traditionally been much closer to the centre than they are now, and the Democrats have not been "taken over" by the progressives. They just have a noisy wing, like all political parties tend to.

But a massive disappointment to the very objective BBC.

Very much so

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Don’t you just know it!
