None more so than the IEA and ERG. Ideological elitist dross, which has fallen at the first (and second) hurdle. They had their chance, they've blown it for themselves and everyone else.
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

Pretty sure those gains will be wiped out by your mortgage costs, although by the sounds of it you're probably transferring your mortgage at a low rate... lucky

If the solicitors had got their fingers out, I would have completed before the stamp duty reduction was announced. For a change it's worked in my favour, but I do feel for youngsters trying to get on the ladder.

Turn sideways, Jeremy, and let's see the nose get longer still.

You would think the tories would have learnt something from their failing cuts and austerity. But no, Hunt trots out the same tired old recipe. Here we go again. They just don't have a clue.

When there is no viable alternative then you have no alternative. It might be old and familiar, and is certainly painful, but until 2 + 2 can be made to equal 5 that's what must happen. A windfall tax will cushion some of the impact of the stupidity dumped on us by Truss, but not all.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Hunt does a passable impression of gravitas by looking sadly stoical, like a customer in a restaurant taking the news that his favourite item is off the menu. The 4th Chancellor this year how do they possibly have time to learn such a role. To think that 'markets' are re-assured, more like relieved and not for long probably. The country would be run better by Wilf imo.
