He's learned nothing, and for the misery and hounding these parents have had to live through as result of his conduct he should consider that he's got off lightly.

You do realise you are quoting a fictional character? Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
