There will come a time when Zaha does not start every match. like Jimmy Mac has he will give way to younger players. To be hoped that in his final CPFC seasons he is introduced part way through matches free to play. For too long he has been a target of rotational fouling. Always seems to do better against footballing teams as opposed to thug teams. Have to hope he and PV recognise his changing strengths as he ages.

Jimmy Mac would be playing if he wasn't injured. But when Wilf is that age, he's not likely to be as effective. Wingers tend to need pace.

He put in the transfer request. He wanted to challenge himself at a higher level. Ok. Ta-ta. Due to his inconsistent game, it doesn't surprise me too much that a top club never came in for him.
Depends on the club really and whether they want to keep him for another season. Or, as a free agent, he'll find work somewhere.

Has he put in a transfer request? I thought he was just stalling signing a new contract. He is still our most important and influential player, our top goal scorer.
There does seem to be gratitude on here, he has been pivotal to our most successful period in the Premier ever and came through our junior ranks, some people have short memories.

Off to Villa? Off to Forest? At least at Forest he'll be a Trivial Pursuit question. Maybe even make the Guinness Book - most transfers. That's about it.

If he goes to either of those that is not a career move but a get me the hell out of Palace move. I just can't see it.

It was widely reported in 2019 that Zaha submitted a formal request. Parish offset this by putting a £80m price tag on Zaha's head. Naturally there were no takers.
That was when Hodgson was in charge. Also at that time Arsenal signed Zaha's compatriot Pepe for a reported £72m.
