I'm not sure if it's an age thing but a lot of me agemates are done with carnival now too and hold the same opinion as me. Whilst there are a lot of people of different backgrounds who were able to enjoy the music, food, atmosphere of carnival with no issues, there is a growing number of people behaving like animals. Same with any large group of people, football springs to mind. I'm in my mid-late 30s and I don't think anyone older than me has any interest in carnival now

Story the other day that a female author is in trouble because her publisher styles her as the Queen of Mystery apparently the Agatha Christie estate has copyrighted that. Seems a bit unfair that one person can decide they are the greatest (Michael Jackson) and other opinions are not allowed.

a few years ago a lady in a small town in England opened a sandwich shop called Mcdonalds (that was her name). The local Mcdees got sore about this and their lawyers harrassed her about this. Can't remember the outcome. Edited by Slimey Toad (31 Aug 2022 1.33pm)
