The return of Roy, no skill needed just effort.

Alas, Eze didn't have the skill to chip the keeper in a one on one situation, we've seen Benteke and Ayew do it so it's not beyond the realms of possibility. However Eze's effort did get him to be in the position with a finely timed run. So what's it to be?
I'm expecting more from Eze. I'd like to think Eze has it in his locker.
The current set-up is leaving the midfield with plenty of holes for the opposition to charge through. Doucoure can't do it all on his own.

We used to have McArthur,Kouyate and Gallagher in that vital 'Engine room'. McArthur has become injury prone and of course the others have left.Milivojevic and Riedewald were in the squad on Friday and there are many who do not really rate either player.

Forest have Kouyate on their radar, apparently.

Another Palace master-stroke.

Not sure about that. Apart from the first 20 mins, Arsenal weren't charging anywhere.

We played ok, not brilliant, but ok. Score those 2 chances, and get the pen its a different game.

You must have a player who can do 2/3 things a match to create a goal, the problem is schlupp is not a CM player, i like Schlupp, but as wing cover, Kouyate, Doucoure, and Eze is a balance midfield, Eze, Gallagher and Doucoure isn't balalanced, nor is Gallagher, Doucoure and Kouyate, the only midfielder we have to play a balanced midfield is McArthur, but he is sadly injury prone.

He is very good as a left-sided attacking midfielder (inside left for the oldies), he can't play any where else nearly aswell though, but I thought he was great the other night. I've got my Eze doubts like many of you - his off the ball running annoys me, he just jogs at one pace in straight lines, there's no change of pace or direction, no darting runs - we need a new attacking midfielder desperately cos Eze would be better off on one side of the front three, but he doesn't dig deep enough with his defensive stuff, Ayew sets an example but Wilf gets stuck in too. And there were examples where Eze just wasn't concentrating hard enough - one time in the second half he just played the ball into two Arsenal players without noticing they were about to intercept a cross field pass he was trying to make. Needs a bit of Warnock style 'encouragement' if you ask me. I liked the way we rallied after going 0-1 but we do need to fill that box-to-box role in midfield asap.
