This made me laugh. Reminds me of that Not The Nine O'Clock News sketch when Rowan Atkinson's frenchman sees sex in everyday British icons - 'Nelson's Column. Everybody know's it is Nelson's willie!'

I was never consulted on the art work in any of my schools, colleges universities or any other institutions. It does look like a massive hard on though - which is pretty hilarious. Did Gormley even look at it?

Sticks in yer throat doesn't it?

Blimey, call that art?

Poor old Michelangelo must be spinning in his grave.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I went to the Gormley exhibition at the RA in 2019. I wasn't a fan until then, he really is very good and deserves the plaudits he gets.

the columns in the temples in Ancient Egypt.

the ancient Celts were also fond of a hard statue of a hard-on.

these University students Union types ? sound like po-faced joyless lefty do gooders to me. No sense of humour and even less tolerance for Freedom of expression.

willies are banned, feminist icons of armless, legless pregnant women...all fine and dandy.

A lot of modern artists term their exhibits "installations".
As Gormley's sculpture is bricks on top of one another, I would possibly term it as an 'erection', in artistic circles.

And a very fine one too.

I disengage, I turn the page.

They should really hang a sign off of it.
