My sex education was by a fat lesbian teacher - forgotten her name - quite a character. I remember her showing how to put a condom onto a plastic cock. All a bit surreal. Frankly, a lot of us (particularly the girls) were already at our fumblings.
I think previously when quite young it had been discussed in Biology but nothing too helpful.

These days I presume it's about LGBTQ+ 57 others. Probably need a degree and masters in it. No doubt a new curriculum every week when someone invents the latest trendy gender (which are just sexual preferences).

it used to be crystal clear...straight or gay with the lesser common bi-sexual and the more common plain ol'dirty man'
as you mention, all the rest are really just preferences.
its bollo.

We didn't do biology at my school so there was no obvious lesson in which to disseminate sex education.

However, one morning, after assembly, boys above a certain age ( it was a boys school) were asked to stay behind. At this point the school reel to reel projection camera was wheeled out and a fumbling member of staff explained that we were about to watch a film on the topic of VD! This must have been around 1968/69.

I can't remember if at that time I even knew what VD was . Of course, by the end of the film, I did, in all its "glory". It now strikes me as strange that the first and only educational reference by the school to the sex act was telling us what horrible diseases could be transmitted by such activity.

I remember the film.
Poked what looked like a cocktail stick with umbrella up the bloke’s ‘old fella’, before opening up the brolly and pulling out.
Frightened the life out of us !
