Possibly, but I suspect it's more a case of it doing the click-bait site rounds. Whether or not we go for a new striker will probably depend (as Alan Nixon has said) on whether or not Benteke stays or goes. Personally, I don't see him going anywhere unless Wolves' desperation is such that they'll pay him the same wages we are (or even more).

Another midfielder rather than another striker (or full back for that matter) remains our no. 1 priority IMHO.

Could be forward planning, if Wilf decides not to extend his contract.

We will have a season to bed him in, rather than being held to ransom looking for a replacement when and if he leaves?
