According to twitter Burnley played Newcastle yesterday and allowed McNeil and Cornet to play 45mins for Newcastle! Quite bizarre, but if true I'd think they'd both be closer to the Saudi.. sorry Geordie Boys.

I remember a game against Burnley, our 4th game of the season, Frank De Boer was in charge, we had a player in a palace shirt who played a fantastic 25 yard pass into the path of the Burnley striker for him to score (couldnt have been a better pass if Burnley had paid him for it) FDB was sacked soon afterwards although to be honest I think that decision was taken before the game. That player was Lee-Chung-yong who gifted Burnley their goal. Ironically we played brilliantly after that and did everything but score. Easily our best performance under Mad Frank. Apart from the four losses one of the main reasons for his sacking was that he was too far up his own backside and his man management was appalling.

Going to Everton apparently. 20 million. I like him as a player but don't think Palace need to spend that kind of money for that position on the pitch. An attacking midfielder would seem more pressing.

I worked with several Dutchman & one Dutch company , as a general rule I found that once they got into any management role they were pretty much all like that. Originally posted by slubglurge

Palace on the other hand are prepared to walk away if the price is not value for money. McNeil would have been a nice addition but we have players in that area so not a priority and not at that price.

I find it hard to believe we ever had an interest in McNeill.

Everton have a horrendous transfer record and the millions they have wasted over the years is frightening so the omens don't look good for McNeil

Perhaps Everton bought McNeil for the BLM factor.
