What would help would be for existing and new tennis clubs offering free tennis for working class kids with kit available at a discount. Not only would it help tennis but be a great benefit to society in general. I'm surprised you haven't been hounded off this site as a Mick Lynch loving, non-binary, ethnic quota remainer type - at least they've stopped bowing to the Duchess of Kent on centre court - and they wonder why it look us over 70 years to win the men's singles!

sorry - we are the only country in the world to have posh sports (rugby union, cricket, tennis) and low class sports (football, rugby league, boxing, snooker) and I believe this is the main reason we tend not to win anything - the whole culture of tennis in the UK is set against progress from the less well off, people outside this country could see that an organisation that insists on bowing to a royal presence on centre court is not made to encourage merit - it's blindingly obvious to lots of people, but clearly not to you.

Neither the authorities at Wimbledon nor the royal family insiston bowing - it is left to the individual to decide; Djokovic did, Kyrgios didn't

He can certainly play some great tennis but does often come across as being a rather unpleasant character, particularly with the news of the girlfriend assault case. Having said that he was gracious in defeat in the final and maintained a smile on his face throughout the award ceremony. Also, in a couple of interviews I heard/saw he did make some self-deprecating comments basically acknowledging he is not an easy character to get along with e.g when asked why he doesn't have a coach replied' "I'd never put that burden on anyone".
