Fair points Nick, but I do think Real have a few too many fake injuries. Rolling around, apparently in agony, one minute and racing up the pitch the next. A masterclass in time wasting is how I see it. No, I certainly agree there. However every team would draw every game 0-0 that they couldn't possibly win or defend a one-goal-lead forever if that was the magic answer. I'd happily agree there's far too much of it and it should not be allowed or at least the referee should arrest it as best possible. You get a booking these days for kicking the ball away I think it should be the same for feigning injury, just how you'd police that I wouldn't dare suggest off the cuff. I would still maintain however that Liverpool looked far off their best selves and that was slightly more a result of tactics and discipline from Real as I saw it, not that what I say is to be taken anywhere near to gospel, just my opinion of course.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Anyway, I'd be interested to hear what other recent examples there have been of French police using an unnecessarily aggressive approach towards English supporters. England fans tear gassed in Marseilles at World Cup 1998. The End.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
