Vieira said: “We have a good idea about their potential and what they can do.

“They have spent a lot of time in training with the first team, and between them, they have played some games in the FA Cup or the league.

“We need to test those players. When to do it? that will be the question, but we will need to see what they are capable of doing.”

Rak-Sakyi was kept at Palace during the winter window, despite League One sides Accrington Stanley and Milton Keynes expressing an interest in taking him on loan for the rest of the season.

Speaking on whether the decision to keep Rak-Sakyi at Selhurst Park for the rest of the season looked to be the correct decision, Vieira added: “He is really a special talent – he has got the potential to perform at a high level.

“But as a football club, we need to create that pathway to allow him to go to the next step.

“That may be him staying with us, or it may be him going out on loan, but it’s too early to make that decision.

“We will need to sit and try and make the best decision to allow him to keep progressing.”

Well put him on the bench and give him some game time, its not rocket science, then you can access him, your not sending him to War

I think it's time to blood some of the youngsters.

Olise is injured why not play Rak Sakyi. Mitchell got done for pace for the Newcastle goal that suggests he is either carrying an injury or just plain knackered and should be rested we have another left back give him a go.

Mitchell has seemed to 'switch off ' in recent games more mental tirdness than physical but either way I would agree for a young player he has played too much and could probably do with a couple of weeks to re-charge . Playing in the England friendlies didn't help , more experianced players are 'injured' for those games

The old dilemma - 5 games left - blood youngsters risk losing games - play stead fast - hold position on ladder for bigger position payments

Play young ones to get eagerness in with lots to prove & rest old legs they are already at the beach

Play older ones to get them noticed more to sell on

Tricky decision for any manager this time of year unless your Lampard that is

Agreed.

Aim to finish above the seaweed, or aim for a strong start in August.

For sure some of our older players were looking tired last night. They have been great but very doubtful for next season.

Brighton played the longer game. We’ve learned that’s the way for longer term stability in this league. Other clubs take their foot off the gas too. Worth noting that most of our 11th place finishes are from better results during this period when we’re trying more and move up 4-5 places.

Time to blood the youngsters I say. Give them the opportunity once relegation is mathematically impossible. If two youngsters during this 4/5 game spell can prove that they're good enough, its basically like having two new signings in time for next season.

It will motivate the other youth players too as it will show that is possible to make it to the first team.
