The insufferable Jermain Jenas actually made a good point today apropos their spending/recruitment as shocking and controversial as that sounds. I'ts all been reactionary, 'flavours of the week' such as Di Maria, Depay, DvdB, Sancho etc. There doesn't seem to be any real tactical or longer term strategy behind their spending. They strike me as more of an 11 y/o schoolboys dream team, who's knowledge of football is expectedly rather limited. Personally, I absolutely love it and long may it continue.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Bad business by them. Wrong player. But Jermaine Jenas is a decent pundit. Didn’t see it tonight but he’s decent on MOTD2.

The worst signing was Pogba in my opinion. A guy who left on a free after being developed by Man U, comes back for a huge fee and wages, and then leaves on a free again. Talk about fool me twice. You can only wish him the worst really, but what a stupid buy by the club.

I think my view is tainted by stories I have heard of him being a far more successful w**ker than he has enjoyed as a footballer or pundit... if stories are to be believed. When you'd rather our players than theirs, that's really saying something. Sancho - being young, I'll say would be good for us as a squad player. AWB is better than Ward and Clyne so would take him. I'd rather Hughes than Pogba. De Gea is good, perhaps as competition for Guiata - that's about it.
