Do we provide this sort of statistic in the UK then?

I live in the West Midlands area and in Birmingham there is a shooting or stabbing every day and it seems that the vast majority of the perpetrators and victims are black but I haven't seen any official statistics

This sort of suppression of embarrassing information is quite commonplace these days - South Africa simply stopped keeping statistics on the endemic murder of white farmers by black gangs.
