Its certainly good that someone is looking at the loan regulations - I do believe that the new thinking is probably a bit "thin edge of the wedge" a beginning if you will - Considering (according to the article) Players who have been with the parent club for 3 years between 15-21 don't count ( because they are considered as homegrown) & players under 21 don't count - so its a maximum of 8 of the others who can be loaned out - with this reducing to 7 & then 6 year on year - My guess is that the other 2 categories, homegrown & under 21 will receive some attention next year & eventually become more restrictive in their guidelines. Considering (according to the article) Players who have been with the parent club for 3 years between 15-21 don't count ( because they are considered as homegrown) & players under 21 don't count - so its a maximum of 8 of the others who can be loaned out - with this reducing to 7 & then 6 year on year -

My guess is that the other 2 categories, homegrown & under 21 will receive some attention next year & eventually become more restrictive in their guidelines.

Yip certainly not perfect, and doesn't stop the big boys hovering up the youth talent. But will make a dent in the stockpiling of all the players in their prime being loaned out on repeat
