Is it now the right time to look at revoking honours clubs have won from finance from blood money, corruption, and dictatorship states. With Ukraine bringing this more to the public domain, surely we don't want this as a legacy for British football trophies?

This whole thing is a big joke anyway yes Russia has invaded Ukraine if you want to keep it simple but look at other countries which had done this with no sanctions or restrictions we was one of them and US has done it many times.

We have a shareholder who made his wealth off the back of child labour in the African cobalt mines so perhaps we should be caught up in your virtue signalling regime and be relegated to Division 2 Bring on the Witchfinder General

My personal view is that the majority of fans care about how things affect them personally...that's human nature, most fans won't care about how success is delivered over being successful. Really, the nature of the money used to run football clubs are questions for the governing bodies and government. I find the sudden focus upon ethical matters extremely ridiculous. The truth is that for decades London has been allowed to become awash with foreign money from dubious sources. The only reason they pretend to care now is for purely political reasons.....one hand is washing another on power scales far beyond football clubs. Should dirty money be kept out of football?.....Yes, as much as reasonably possible. Will it be, no. Edited by Stirlingsays (13 Mar 2022 8.18am)

"Allowed"? I think that you mean "encouraged" as the Golden Ticket Visa scheme introduced in 2008 encouraged immigration to anyone who brought £2m with them and the vast majority of the people using this scheme were either Russian or Chinese Indeed, that's a better word for it.

Bryan Robson was exposed by an undercover TV sting explaining how to circumvent FL ownership rules, this was years ago. Anyway the TV programme pointed out that there were dozens of clubs mainly in the FL whose ultimate ownership was unknown e.g. Melchester Rovers is owned by Cayman island Football Trust but who owns C.I.F.T. I suspect little has changed.
