There's probably no better promotion tool for Palace than the legendary (female) photographer Hy Money. This new 16 minutes video of her gives us a fascinating story behind her love for The Eagles.
I met her first time around 1980 (Selhurst Park with Ron Noades) and have never stopped admiring her work since then.
In spite of her horrible start as a football photographer (when it was all male and the Union ruled), she deserves 100% respect for her massive contribution to our club.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

A brilliant watch, in particular for older fans.
Includes old footage of Bert Head, Malcolm Allison the Holmesdale Road end, the Burnley promotion game.
Quite an inspiring story.

Any true Palace fan home ought to have a copy of the book "Hy on Palace." An amazing collection of photos that bring back so many memories and as someone else pointed out, is clearly the best publication ever on The Eagles.

Shocking the sexism at the time but great that she was able to get on despite it. Great video.

I agree with others, her book is excellent.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Agreed, except for the picture with Terry and Alan

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

A wonderfully determined lady.

It was interesting to hear how she never had any problems with the players and that it was just the journos who were complete tossers.

A school mate of mine dated Hy's daughter, Lisa. This was around '72.

When they broke up, I had hoped to take his place but somehow she was resistant to my charms...

A mate is a Charlton fan years ago when internet reporting first started he worked for their supporters club. On match days he would write a report of the game and the match day experience. This was put on the web and often bits were reprinted in local newspapers etc often without referencing where they got it.

Anyway one game he is oop north in the press box and the journa for the local rag challenges him what are you doing in here you are not a proper journalist etc. He even called security who sided with my mate and pointed out that he had credentials.

The old lag hated the new breed and tried to make him feel as uncomfortable as he could dishing out tea and biscuits to everyone except him, giving him the cold shoulder.

He was so busy being an arse he missed Charlton's goal "Who scored that" "Dunno mate why would you ask me I'm not a proper journalist".
