It's pretty obvious that we are struggling to score. Yes he is getting on a bit and he above the age of player we are focusing on but even until the end of the season I think this would be beneficial seeing he is available for free and is a proven goal scorer. I for one would love to see this happen FEELING GLAD ALL OVER

He is a free agent i agree, but, he's 33yo, he's had his last two contracts terminated because of 'issues'. He is back in Spain, training with Elche & strong rumour is, he will sign a short term deal with them till end of season. This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

He is a free agent i agree, but, he's 33yo, he's had his last two contracts terminated because of 'issues'. He is back in Spain, training with Elche & strong rumour is, he will sign a short term deal with them till end of season.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I for one would love to see this happen Assuming we are struggling to score as you claim (we have scored more league goals this season than over half the other PL teams), bringing in someone like Costa would simply be a papering over the cracks exercise and delay sorting out the problem (if it is a longer term problem). Also: 1. we have two strikers who are new to the PL and need more time to adjust rather than simply be written off. 2. we are a team in transition that needs more time to become comfortable with the very different system the manager (and the club apparently) wants the team to play. The system will require new personnel in the summer and the departure of some who are struggling to cope. 3. Signing Costa could demotivate our existing strikers and could lead to tensions in the squad, given the issues associated with him at his previous clubs. 4. Finally, I would rather save the silly wages we would need to pay him for next season's needs.

I for one would love to see this happen The lack of goals is not because of the strikers but the system. We are too slow with build up play and do not try to whip in quick crosses.
