I predict we will start slowly, possibly give away a soft goal or two in the first half, most likely from a corner. I predict Joel Ward (one of my faves) will be targeted, will look past his best, and too slow for the Prem League. I predict Wilf will pass the ball backwards more than he does forward, and will not take anyone on. We will move the ball labouriously sideways and backwards, with no penetration giving Brentford plenty of time to find their shape. The second half will see us up the tempo, score a goal or two to drag ourselves level. We will be happy with the point, given that we were behind in the game. We will respect the point and move on to the next one. We will have >65% possessions and Patrick will be unhappy with our inability to convert the draw into a win. Very good

Think we will lose 2-0 due to our lack of urgency in the first half and not being switched on from the kick off. Expect Wardy to have another mare! This will be a replay of the Norwich game, but a bit worse.

I do sense that early season optimism amongst our fan base is somewhat dissipating but of course this could be hogwash.

I think the fact that we fritter away points from being in a good position and playing well,is having the drip, drip effect. That Norwich game really f***ed me off.

Defensively we are found wanting conceding poor goals and to me this is a real concern. Now that I have posted this negativity we will probably win comfortably today and keep a clean sheet!! Same as the rest of the smart money. Bees score early, palace wake up 2nd half, and leave with one point being a draw snatched from the jaws of victory.

We need to start the game with a bit of intention else it could all go pair shaped. Tbh I wouldn't be overly disappointed with a draw as it all adds up at this stage. We're bound to have a period of decent play in there somewhere, but for how long is anyones guess.
