I don't eat cats either but why do we turn a blind eye to treatment of other animals but are outraged when it's a cat/dog.

My guess would be that they are domesticated animals and therefore you have a duty of care towards them. Nobody is going to be charged with animal neglect/abuse for example if a fox dies of starvation but were it a cat/dog that was a domestic pet you would be liable. Also, many people own cats/dogs and they are often very much part of their 'family'. Not a million miles away from when you see/read about cases of child abuse in domestic situations and you think 'God, how could anyone treat any child like that, let alone their own?'... and you think of your own. Get your point of course but would be my guess anyhoo. Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

My guess would be that they are domesticated animals and therefore you have a duty of care towards them.

The same Grannies that were there to be grabbed by the Dashing Mezzer back then would now be considered far too young for the Dashed Mezzer of today.
