Feb 9 - Norwich = Away (emoji's ) This month should determine where we are for the rest of the season. 4 points or less - we are dragged into the relegation battle (especially as 3 of the above are solidly in it). 5-10 points - we pretty much stay where we are. 11+ points - there's a chance we start knocking on the European door for that 7th spot. My prediction - 7 points (W, W, L, L, T). I know, not really going out on a limb with this one. Edited by Daddyorc (08 Feb 2022 4.00pm)

Norwich, Watford and Burnley are all big games. Win those we contribute to keeping those teams down there and away from us. In theory we can win 4 of them, in practice that is v unlikely. But it is a run of games that we must take advantage of. I'll go for Norwich - W

Fewer than five points from these games and we have a real fight on our hands. All three results possible in each of these games, if you'll excuse the b...... obvious. I think we'll win two of these games and then three more wins needed from the remainder.

Given that all the teams at the bottom are finding some form if we can pick up a couple of wins and a draw we should be fine. We can’t afford to lose to anyone below us, but our away form has to improve.

A season defining month. We'll find out if our very talented team are able to get down and dirty. We're certainly have the quality to win any of these games, it's just whether we can be aggressive enough.

Lose to Chelsea (as always)

We are already on the edge of the relegation battle and the teams we have got coming up will be fighting for their PL existence so there will be no easy pickings. We have not won a PL games since 28/12 and our strikers continue to struggle when it come to scoring goals. Chelsea will almost certainly be a loss, especially as CG will not be able to play and therefore including last night I cannot see us getting more than four points from these games, hope I’m wrong. Talk of Europe is just fantasy, just to stay up for another year has to be our first target and this will not help with the cup run as that tend to have an adverse effect on our league form, plus historically recently we have never done that well in the second half of the season and during the last cup run when we reached the final under Pardew our league form was non-existent!

I was off. Predicted 7, had 6. If Chelsea hadn't nicked it at the end I would have been spot on. Not a terrible February, but not great either. Should have won 1 of the first two games. We're destined for mid-table at this point, hope we can sneak into the top half, although our remaining games are tough, so think we'll finish somewhere around 14th. Not worried about relegation though
