Off topic but I saw that Kenneth Brannagh film Belfast today. It's a cracking movie and deserves all the praise it is getting, worth a look. Might checked this out, as I saw it in the news and it certainly looked distinctive. Very good review.

Frankly, I find the Moore ones almost comical now. Particularly when he karate chops people at 70. The Connery ones and Craig ones have more believable fights. I liked OHSS but George didn't seem to be able to handle the fame. The fights are pretty brutal and realistic in that, like a bar fight between trained people.

The Craig bond is just not very bond, yes good gritty films, but the only resemblance is that he’s called James Bond, and no matter how much they slipped in the little bits of nostalgia like the old Aston and the old theme tunes, Daniel Craig, much as he put in some great performances, he’ll never be James Bond for me, just a good actor playing a haunted, violent spy in a separate franchise………who happened to have the same name Edited by monkey (11 Feb 2022 11.01pm)

Alison Hammond. Admittedly it was a real leftfield choice, but I think we can all agree, she excelled herself.

My total guess is that Daniel Craig will appear in the next one - as the cloned Bond villain this time. He may even have a cat.

Moore and Craig for me, but I like all the other guys too, except for Brosnan. His Bond films lacked sparkle and were a bit naff. He is better in other stuff. Dalton was underrated, Connery was very good, but the films are largely very dated now.

My first movie I ever saw was THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, what a good movie. Between Jaws and Barbara Bach, great casting and story. Moore, like Connery both had some winners, but stuck around too long. I even like Lazenby. I cannot watch the Dalton movies, they’re terrible. Brosnan had some good, and bad, but at least he looked the part. Craig too, some good (casino royale, skyfall) some not so (quantum of solace). I hope the next one is good.
