It was a disappointing January window, but we had a good Summer influx. Ramsey chose to go to a Mickey Mouse league for the big club vibe.

Happy with what we have and also happy with what we missed out on though possibly the Senegalese striker mentored by Viera (I'm not good on names) is one for the summer?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

it was a bit meh. Got excited that Benteke might leave and VDB might come in. Those two things probably set unrealistic expectations that left me feeling short-changed. No major worries though we're improving and this season will be a massive improvement on last, an achievement given it's a transition season.

I do remember him. I'm not sure if we have got many other players from Derby. He score goal number 4 in our win in at Wrexham that secured promotion to Div.2 in 1977 ( or did after the results on the last Saturday went our way). Just one result - Wrexham v Mansfield Obviously the thread is posing a qualitative question, but quantitatively we had the 6th-highest net transfer window spend in the Premier League. Admittedly a fairly meaningless statistic per se, but there you have it.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Nothing to rate ... it was a bit of a non event for us. A youngster who is loaned straight back to Derby for the rest of the season, and a permanent deal for Mateta.

A window to be expected for us really. Nothing exciting happened but were we supposed to have another one like the summer? Mnah. Interestingly I read an article rating each teams transfer windows and ours was described as "A typical January window for a mid-table team with no worries of going down" Gave me a bit of the ol' the warm and fuzzy knowing that thats how we're now viewed by others.

As I posted previously, Sprites, none of the players mentioned are happy carrying the ball out, which would invite opposing teams to put the high press on vigorously and disrupt/corrupt/scupper our new method of building up with possession from the back, imo.
