Seeing as we've been a 2nd half team of late I'd have Ayew in for the first 45 to help soften / prevent damage with Olise off the bench for the 2nd half

Red & Blue since 73'

Given Olise' experience level, stature, age & stamina -
and not taking away anything from him when I say that when he is on the field he is a real pleasure to watch - you could ( at the moment) almost decide long in advance which games he starts -

Example - Norwich, Southampton, Newcastle, Everton - Maybe Leeds - the other games Ayew starts & Olise comes off the bench -

Games where he isn't going to end up getting slaughtered by over physical defenders or tactically exposed by superstar opponent's going forwards.

Next year Olise will be older, stronger, more experienced & you may well find that the number of games where Olise starts increases & Ayew becomes more of a back up.

Agreed. I thin that is PV's plan to use Ayew to help bring Olise through, not sure that's Ayew's plan but alas that is sport.

As for Olise he can learn a lot from Ayew about breaking up play and drawing a foul.

I’m a big Ayew fan. Not only his work rate but his quick skilful feet. Draws in 2 players when he’s on the ball creating space for others. Must be a mare to play against and draws fouls.

The beatings will stop when morale improves.

Good point - Olise has been quiet in the odd full appearance he has made in the 1st half and is least effective when he receives the ball with his back to goal. 2nd half there is more space and he excels

He’s top of the most fouled players in the Premier league along with Zaha and Toney all on 51 fouls each.

I like him but he is a massive diver and it is poor.
